If it does not match then manaully delete gwproxy.dll from this directory and run the gateway install again to reinstall the addressing components. Before you run the addressing component install remove any Gwproxy.dll from all Exchange servers and remove gwise address space from recipient policy. Run the policy and be sure that no user have a gwise address space on them.. then installl addressing components and it will create a new gwise with the correct dll.

This seems to be a common issue from many different sides of looking at it.
You want dir sycn and busy search I assume! but you want mail to go to each system via the GWIA rather then the gateway.
If the groupwise system and exchange systems have different Idomain names and the gw system under consoleone Internet addressing does not contain the idomain of the Exchange system then this is relativly easy to do. Just go to the External domain representing the Exchange domain in consoleone / go to properties /Internet address and add an over ride .. I like to add the Internet domain over ride .. click the button on the bottom of the page and type in the Idomain for the Exchange system. This fixes reply formats and also sends mail to Exchange out the GWIA. If you want mail format to be corrected you simply put on the over ride.. If you also want it to go out the gwia you make sure the Idomain name for exchange is not in the C1 Internet addressing. if you have the idomain in Internet addressing GW is going to see it as Internal mail and push it thru the gateway.

Karen the first thing I would check here is that the recipient policy is actually stamping the user in the groupwise container in AD with the correct Gwise address space and not more then one. If all the GroupWise users have a Gwise address space on them (only one) then next check your gwproxy.dll in the exchange installation directory / address space / gwise/ i386 or there bouts. I don't have a system in front of me so going from memory. The Gwproxy.dll is used to generate the Gwise address space that is put in the recipient policy and must not be an older gwproxy.dll that say Microsoft generated. Check the dates of this file on all exchange servers against the file you have by this name in the directory of software you downloaded to install the gateway. If it is not the same then delete the gwproxy.dll from all exchange servers, remove it from the policy, run the policy so users no longer have a gwise address space on them. With it all cleaned up run the gateway install again and check the button for install addressing components only. This will install the gwproxy.dll add the address space to the policy and the uses address space will be corrected.

Now to get the mail to go out the GWIA add an internet addressing over ride to the External domain, po or user. I use the External domain and have tested it many times. If you simply click the last box under the properties of the external domain on the Internet addressing tab and then type in the domain name for the Exchange system this should shoot the mail out the GWIA.
